Looking for specialized self dumping hoppers to accommodate your unique products? For those situations where height is a concern, a low profile hopper may be the solution.
Crafted with sturdy constructions with durable materials, each hopper delivers dependable long-term use in a wide range of industries and environments. With our low profile self dumping hoppers, you never need to worry about adapting your materials handling processes to restrictive production environments.
Our low profile hoppers are available in many sizes and dimensions and can even be fully customized to fit your organization’s needs.
Setting an Industry Standard
Like our other dump hoppers, these low profile hoppers are manufactured to meet our exacting standards for quality and performance. These hoppers are crafted to be heavier and stronger than industry standards, using thick steel bodies and plate in their design and construction.
Their secret also lies in the hand welding in our production process, using an inner shield welding technique resulting in an extremely hot held with unparalleled weld strength and penetration.
Working in an area with height restrictions brings certain operational challenges. Standard self-dumping hoppers may deliver the durability, performance and longevity you require, but they’re too tall to use in your production space. Enter our low profile hoppers, made to deliver increased load capacities but designed to accommodate workspaces with lower heights.
Our low profile self dumping hoppers are available in several size capacities, beginning with ½ cubic yard and ranging all the way up to 3 ½ cubic yards. Heights range between 25 and 45 inches, while lip heights start at 23 inches and go up to 34 inches. Hopper lengths and widths also vary by size and capacity from 38L x 48W inches to 65L x 96W inches. Each dumper offers several key features that ensure safe, effective and convenient operation:
- Standard designs with drain plugs included
- Large pull-down handle releases
- Watertight designs that prevent dripping and leakage
Other Features and Options
As with other Roura hoppers, our low profile dumpers can be customized with additional features to fit your operations. We offer our standard safety green enamel on steel finish, but other selections include safety red, blue, yellow or orange along with brown, white, black or gray. Several caster and wheel options are also available.
Covers can be added to your hoppers to prevent materials from falling out during transport. Our cover choices include watertight steel, mesh tarp and a vinyl tarp. We also offer several types of bases including our standard fork entry, three-way base entry, base legs and an ultimate strength heavy-duty boxed tube base. If you’re sure which features you need, our sales staff can provide solid guidance and recommendations.
Custom-Built Hoppers for Your Operations
In addition to our low profile hoppers, we also produce custom self-dumping hoppers engineered for unique applications. We can modify one of our existing designs, including any of the low profile dumpers, or design a brand new dumper based on your specifications.
Our sales and engineering staff are ready to discuss your needs and custom craft a hopper that meets your load capacity, dimension and performance requirements.
Hauling materials in a tight production facility can be challenging. If you have low ceilings, shelving or other height considerations in your facility, it can be difficult to find a hopper to fit your needs. Instead of causing damage to your standard hopper, your materials or your building, invest in a low profile design by Roura.
Explore our cutting-edge construction materials and designs to discover what sets our hoppers apart. Unlike other hoppers, we use an impressive gauge of steel, expert welding techniques and a corrosion-resistant paint job to keep your hopper hauling, storing and handling materials for years to come.
Durable Hoppers With a Small Footprint
Our low profile self-dumping hoppers can still haul an impressive load, but you won’t have to worry about tall walls and a large footprint creating headaches in your facility. Lift, dump, maneuver and store your hopper in less space to place it exactly where you need it.
Heavy rocks, cement and other materials may benefit from a low profile design. These extra-heavy materials might overload your forklift if you fill up a full-sized hopper, so invest in a compact option to limit the weight of your full hopper. This prevents employees from overloading a forklift or hopper with extra-heavy materials.
Improved Visibility and Safety
Moving a small load in a low profile design allows your forklift operator to easily see around a lifted hopper. Behemoth hoppers may haul an impressive load, but they can also block the vision of the forklift operator. When your operator needs to navigate a crowded shop floor, a smaller load might mean a safer one. Don’t let other forklifts, foot traffic, shelving or other obstacles get in the way of your forklift, and don’t let a forklift create an accident due to lack of vision.
Finally, a smaller payload means greater dumping accuracy. A bulky hopper can cause a mess if you’re trying to dump it into a compact chute, work area or dumpster. Instead, pick up an efficient hopper design to accurately position the hopper before dumping your materials.
In the end, the most important feature of a self-dumping hopper is its flexibility. Can your hopper handle the demanding projects you need to be accomplished? Select a tool that fits a specialized need or offers a diverse range of practical solutions.
You don’t have to choose a single project or material for your hopper, but you can think creatively and choose a new task every day for your workhorse of a hopper.
