Roura invented the self-dumping hopper over a century ago. Every model we build is:

• Manufactured in the United States for quality control
• Built with heavy-duty, fully welded steel for extended durability in harsh industrial environments

Plus, we have a variety of standard, in-stock hoppers available for same-day shipping, along with replacement parts.

Roura Material Handling offers several hopper configurations built for handling metal scrap, machine chips, stampings, wood/lumber, dust/debris collection, garbage/waste, recyclables, manufacturing waste, glass, rubber, hot castings or forgings, chemicals, and more.

• Pull-down handle, for applications where materials are dumped at an elevated height. The cable system is stored on the back of the hopper and all you have to do is pull the cable.
• Auto-latch, which fully engages the handle’s locking position until it’s tripped to dump the content, and minimizes possible pinch points.
• Trip lever, available as a traditional iron handle, heavy-duty steel handle, and the extra-wide heavy-duty steel handle for wide hoppers, and in left and right hand configurations. Ideal for material handling applications that don’t rely on forklifts, require the operator to leave the forklift, or involve dumping materials from a standard height.
• Mechanical release system, our standard release system that allows operators to dump materials without leaving the forklift.

Yes! Roura offers several Hopper, Bottom Drop Box, and Rotator Box models, classified by load capacity. Any model can be configured based on application requirements, whether that’s adding a lid for additional protection or installing casters to improve mobility.

Yes! Roura’s hoppers are designed for extended durability in environments exposed to water, chemicals, and abrasive materials. Any hopper can be built with galvanized steel or stainless steel for additional corrosion protection, lined on the inside for abrasion and chemical resistance, and feature lids for protection against wind, pests, and other outdoor elements.

• Drop Box: Best for precise dumping, zero-residue dumping, or any application where tipping a container is a safety hazard. Our clients often used them when discharging bulk materials into separate bins or dealing with extremely hot materials.
• Rotator Box: Specifically designed for use with rotator forklifts and used frequently for positioning containers, processing recyclables, rotating heavy Gaylord boxes, and emptying bulk materials.
• Self-Dumping Hopper: Ideal for use with any standard, non-rotating forklift and high-volume material handling applications.

Roura ships items anywhere around the world. All orders shipping outside of the United States must be prepaid by wire transfer in U.S. dollars. All charges, including broker fees, bank fees, dock fees, and any special packaging requests must be paid for by the customer. All items are shipped via Exworks.

Roura takes extensive precautions to ensure all items are safely shipped. Should a product arrive to your location damaged:

1. Do not transfer the product. Leave the product at its original destination.
2. Send Roura Material Handling a photo in the original packaging and pallet with additional details regarding the damage.
3. A team member will contact you with next steps, which may include an inspection. Do not dispose of the damaged product until instructed.

Roura accepts return requests within 45 days of the invoice date. All products must be returned unused and free of damage. Customers are responsible for paying a 40% restocking fee and return freight charges.

Non-Returnable Items:

• Specialty models (hoppers and rotator boxes)
• Behemoth models
• Custom products
• Stone products
• Any product with a MHR system, pull-down handle system, or false bottom

Yes. All products manufactured and sold by Roura Material Handling are backed by a one-year warranty (activated the date the item is shipped) covering manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover damage sustained from activities that go beyond the product’s intended use. Visit this resource for additional information.
