Many of Roura’s industrial hoppers, including our Refuse models, are perfect for recycling centers because they feature a lightweight plastic lid that helps reduce odor, control pests, and secure and protect recyclables. All refuse models are available in 1- and 2-cubic yard capacities based on needs.

Odorous wet materials not only increase transportation costs due to weight but also attract pests. Our Dewatering hoppers and Refuse hoppers provide safe material handling and drainage for lawn refuse, pulp, wet waste, and water and can handle loads up to 6,000 pounds. They’re the best solution for waste management facilities looking to improve efficiency while cutting costs.

Our industrial hoppers are widely used for handling scrap metal waste. They allow for more efficient material collection, minimize dust and particulates, and reduce the need for manual handling, which reduces the risk of injuries. To further improve efficiency, we’ve engineered our hoppers with pierced and extruded trunnion tracks for precise positioning when dumping materials and gusset frames for enhanced strength. We also engineer a specialty Skeleton hopper for handling sheet metal at plasma, laser, and turret punching machining centers and a 90-degree hopper for safely handling metal chips, shavings, and turnings.

Building sites produce heavy waste materials that require durable storage and often specialty equipment to move the loads. Roura’s industrial hoppers are constructed from 12-gauge, 10-gauge, 7-gauge, or ¼” steel to withstand the harshest environments and feature convenient forklift slots at the base. We’ve engineered specialty hoppers, like our Open-Side for storing and handling lumber, and galvanized steel models when hoppers must be left outside for extended periods. We even have a Behemoth model that can hold up to 10,000 pounds of material.

Wood chips, dirt, and lawn clippings are difficult to handle because they can easily stick to the side of the hopper. Roura understood this challenge, which is why we designed our 90-degree hopper, which dumps materials at a 90-degree angle, ensuring all contents are effectively removed. We also engineer other custom options for landscaping companies and manufacture many heavy-duty models that can hold up to 10,000 pounds of material.

Organic waste quickly accumulates, and its odor can attract the wrong kind of guests. Roura Material Handling has restaurants covered with our many hopper models, which can be made from austenitic stainless steel for increased strength and corrosion resistance or carbon steel for increased strength and can feature lightly molded plastic lids to keep out insects, raccoons, and other unwanted creatures.

We can even provide a liner coating that can protect the hopper from abrasive materials. Most hoppers aren’t suited for hot materials, like forgings. Not Roura’s. Our Dross industrial hoppers have a heavy-duty double wall construction and base for heightened durability, a plate liner with perforated sidewalls for quick heat release, and pointed and pierced trunnion tracks to ensure accuracy and stability when handling these dangerous materials. These hoppers can be customized to handle loads up to 10,000 pounds.

Weather-tight storage, material flow control, equipment compatibility, and durability are all essential for farms. Roura provides hoppers featuring tight but flexible plastic lids for increased security and bottom-release drop box models for controlled discharge. All of our hoppers are compatible with most material handling equipment and can be made from stainless steel or galvanized steel for increased weather resistance.
